Commodities
Physical commodities as a component of long-term system diversification.
This module introduces physical commodities as a separate category. Gold and silver are the primary examples; palladium, platinum and diamonds are supplementary examples for further research.
- Gold and silver as widely recognised physical commodities.
- Potential separation from the banking and digital-asset layers.
- A long-term perspective instead of short-term price promises.
- Provider comparison before any purchase decision.
Personal experience, not a prescription
Physical assets involve provider, storage, liquidity and pricing questions. The next module is designed to help users ask better questions before choosing a provider.
Physical commodities in context
Gold
Gold has historically been used as a physical store of value. Questions worth comparing include supplier transparency, premiums, storage, delivery and liquidity.
Silver
Silver can be considered alongside gold as a physical commodity with both monetary and industrial relevance. Storage and transaction costs deserve careful comparison.
Palladium and platinum
These metals are more specialised commodities. Their supply, demand and liquidity characteristics can differ substantially from gold and silver.
Diamonds
Diamonds require especially careful attention to grading, certification, spread and resale conditions before any decision.
Make an independent decision
Check the current terms, availability, fees and legal position that apply to your country before taking any action.
Your next step
